A COFFEE morning was held at Ilton Village Hall to help raise funds for the Ilton Youth Club, which has been running for 15 years.

A display of photos taken over the years were on show to give parents an idea of what the club had been up to.

Kim Board, who began the club 15 years ago with June Keitch, said the club was to provide activities for children and to curb anti-social behaviour.

She added: “We are volunteers and we have occasional parent helpers. We do so much at the youth club, including parties and summer trips.”

The club runs on a Monday evening between 7-9pm in term times at the village hall for children aged between eight and 16.

The cost is £2.50 per child and £1.50 for siblings; under-eights are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

The first session is free for new members are volunteers are welcome.
