Lizzie's memory will live on at Taunton School
THE memory of outstanding' former student Lizzie Pincock will live on at Taunton School.
The independent boarding school hosted her funeral today (Friday) in the chapel and in the coming days the Pincock family are scattering her ashes on the school grounds.
Her mother, Jill Pincock, told the County Gazette: "The school doesn't want to forget Lizzie either. They are making such a point of celebrating her life and her contribution to their school - it is just wonderful for us.
"We will have her ashes scattered there, because that is where she would want to be and they are so pleased for us to do that.
"They want to mark the area in some way. We haven't quite decided how yet maybe with a tree that flowers in March and April or with a bench because she liked a good sit down and a gossip."
Headmaster of Taunton School Dr John Newtown said: "We, as a school will draw wonderful strength from her example, there will many references and many memories in the future to her as we remember what school life should be about, as we remember how wonderful our young people really can be. She will be a memory and an influence to many young people in the school."
