INTERNATIONAL pianist Martin Roscoe is giving a concert at Yeovil’s Octagon Theatre tonight.
Martin (pictured), who is a professor at the Royal Academy of Music, will take to the stage from 7.30pm.
As one of Britain's most prolific recitalists, Martin has performed as a soloist with such eminent conductors as Sir Simon Rattle, Kent Nagano, Luciano Berio, Yan Pascal Tortelier and Andrew Litton.
He maintains strong links with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, with whom he has given over eighty performances, the BBC Philharmonic and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, appearing with the orchestra on more than forty occasions.
His chamber music partnerships include some long standing collaborations with artists such as Tasmin Little, Michael Collins, Steven Osborne, the Leopold String Trio and the Brodsky, Endellion and Sorrel Quartets.
The concert will feature Beethoven’s Sonata in C minor and Chopin’s Sonata No.2 in B flat minor, alongside works by Schumann and Debussy.
