SEVENTIES icons Stackridge are due to storm the David Hall in South Petherton tonight.
Following a roof-raising performance last September, the Bristol-based folk rock group return to the venue from 8pm.
Stackridge (pictured) kick started their career by opening and closing the first ever Glastonbury Festival in 1970.
Years of touring followed, with stints supporting Jethro Tull in Europe and an appearance at Wembley Stadium with Elton John and The Beach Boys.
The group disbanded in 1977, with members pursuing other projects including pop act The Korgis.
Since their reunion in 1998, Stackridge has undergone various line-up changes and now features original members James Warren, Andy Davis, Jim "Crun" Walter and Mike "Mutter" Slater.
Their signature sound is characterised by quirky humour and catchy tunes, with influences ranging from The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Frank Zappa to The Marx Brothers, Bing Crosby and Gilbert and Sullivan.
Tickets cost £15 and are available from the box office on 01460-240340.
