IT'S the big question on everyone's lips.

Labour leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn has been invited to attend the Armed Forces Day Parade in Burnham-on-Sea today (Saturday).

A tongue-in-cheek letter from Wells MP James Heappey suggests Mr Corbyn might like to join him and his fellow veterans at the parade at 12.30pm.

It comes as Mr Corbyn is already in Somerset for an appearance on the Pyramid Stage at the Glastonbury Festival.

In the letter, Mr Heappey says: "I read with some alarm that your visit to the Glastonbury Festival in my constituency has stopped you from attending the National Armed Forces Day commemorations in Liverpool.

"I know that you would not have chosen to put a political opportunity at Glastonbury ahead of our nation's Armed Forces and veterans and that you must have felt very uneasy about the scheduling decisions presumably taken by your staff.

"So may I invite you to join me and my fellow veterans at the Burnham-on-Sea Armed Forces Day Parade at 12.30pm.

"You will easily be able to travel from Burnham back to the festival site in time for your appearance on the Pyramid Stage."
