UPDATE: Maddie Hinch helps Team GB reach final in Olympic hockey competition
FORMER King's College pupil Maddie Hinch is one step closer to securing an Olympic medal.
Maddie 27, helped secure a sixth win for Team GB's women's hockey following their game last night against Spain in the quarter-finals.
The team won 3-1.
The pressure is now on for the team to continue their success when they play New Zealand in the semi-finals tomorrow, (August 17).
New Zealand, known as the Black Sticks, lost to GB in the bronze medal match four years ago.
They beat Australia 4-2 to make it through to the semi-finals.
The Netherlands will also be playing Germany in the semi-finals tomorrow.
The winners will then go on to compete in the finals on Friday, August 19 for a gold or silver medal.
