THE misconduct hearing into allegations of inappropriate behaviour made against Avon and Somerset Chief Constable Nick Gargan has been adjourned.
The hearing, scheduled for next week, has been put off by the chairman of the misconduct panel, Dorian Lovell-Plank QC, in order to address disclosure issues.
A preliminary hearing will be held on Friday, April 24 in front of the panel of Mr Lovell-Pank QC, HM Inspector of Constabulary Wendy Williams and independent member John Rickard.
A date has not yet been set for the full misconduct hearing.
Mr Gargan, who denies any wrongdoing, has been suspended on full pay since May last year.
