A 19-YEAR-OLD woman passenger died after she was trapped in a car which left a road and went into a river in Somerset.
The 21-year-old male driver, who managed to escape, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and released on bail.
Police want to hear from any witnesses to the incident, which happened near Martock at around 1.10am.
Officers say the car was travelling along Broadmead near to the junction with Hawthorn Hill in the direction of Gawbridge Bow when it left the road and entered the River Parrett.
Anybody with information should call police on 101.
