TRAFFIC is incredibly slow with marked delays on the M5 northbound between Tiverton and Wellington, following the earlier single-car collision.

THE incident was originally reported as a multi-vehicle accident, but the police spokesman also clarified that this was in fact a single-car collision.

THE call came in to police at 4.14pm this afternoon, with fire and ambulance crews attending, as well as officers from both Devon and Cornwall and Avon and Somerset Police forces.

ONE person has sustained minor injuries – non-life-threatening nor life-changing –as a result of the collision, which involved a single white Peugeot, a spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed.

Lanes 2 and 3 of the M5 northbound have reopened, although it is expected that there will be delays as a result of backed up traffic.
