Those who can't go out in a little light snow TEACH!

It's ridiculous, it wasn't even that bad. Our weather is changing and we need to adapt instead of just shutting down. The domino effect on on the economy is damaging.

Teachers shouldn't be paid or should have to catch up using an inset day.

We are also miles behind most of Europe in the standard of our education.

To other public servants you did a sterling job today.

I am a former Tauntonian who has lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for the past 45 years. I work in a school as an E.A. Our schools stay open at all times except when a blizzard in blowing. To us a blizzard is a fierce storm with winds blowing in excess of 60 kms per hr and a temp of minus 40 cel. Yesterday and today we had temps of minus 32c. with windchill factors of minus 43c. Our school buses stop running at minus 45c.

healthcare workers who can't get to work because of the snow at MPH will not be paid, they will be taking it as unpaid leave, annual leave or making the hours up at a later date.
