A LANGPORT woman accused of assaulting a man, a woman and a youth during an incident at Ilminster has been ordered to stand trial in the New Year.

Cynthia Anna McAllister, 50, of Bowdens Crest, appeared in the dock before Somerset Magistrates at Yeovil.

She was charged with assaulting Sharon and Arthur Mather by beating them at Ilminster.

The defendant was also alleged to have assaulted a youth by beating during the same incident on October 7.

McAllister pleaded not guilty to all three alleged offences and following a review of the case it was adjourned until January 15 when a trial will take place.

In the meantime she was released on conditional bail on the understanding she does not initiate contact with any of the three complainants.
