FOUR people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash on the A303. 

The crash happened in Yarcombe on the A303 yesterday (November 26) at around 8pm. 

Two vehicles were involved in the crash. 

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service, said: "We attended with four ambulances and two rapid response vehicles. 

"Two patients with serious injuries were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital and two others were taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital."

It is believed a man was left with life threatening injuries after the incident and another person was seriously injured. 

The road was closed between the A358 near Ilminster and the A30 at Yarcombe.
