THE ORGANISERS of Ilminster’s successful annual fireworks and bonfire event have revealed that all money taken in their collection buckets will be donated to the Chard Carnival accident gofundme page.

Paul Webber, one of the event organisers, said: “The directors of the sports club and I have decided our collection buckets at our firework display will all go to the gofundme page of the lady that was sadly injured at the Chard Carnival. Our thoughts are with the family and all of those effected.”

Aiyesha Nolan, the family member who set up the gofundme page, responded as the fundraising effort topped £2,700.

She said: “How amazing is that? Wow, truly incredible. None of us were expecting to hit £1,000 let alone exceed £2,000.”

The display will take place on Sunday, November 5 at the Archie Gooch Pavilion.

Gates open at 4pm, the bonfire will be lit at 5pm, and the fireworks display will start at 6pm.
