A ‘MUCH-LOVED’ Ilminster woman has died after being reported missing last week.
Caroline Green, 43, of Silver Street, was last seen by her family at 5.30pm on Monday, August 7.
She was reported missing at 1.50pm on Tuesday, August 8, after failing to turn up to work.
Police started a door-to-door search, but stopped on Wednesday after a body was found.
A spokesman said: “We would like to inform the public that we are no longer searching for missing woman Caroline Green.
"Sadly, since our appeal for information, the body of a woman has been found in Ilminster.
“Caroline’s family have been informed of this development. Thank you to all of those people who shared our appeal.”
The family said: “(Caroline) tragically passed away in Ilminster aged 43, a much loved daughter, sister, auntie and friend who will be sadly missed.”
