A PUBLIC drop in session will be held in Ilminster regarding the recent flooding in the town.

The session will take place on Monday, August 14 between 3.30pm and 7pm at the Minster Rooms in Ilminster.

The session gives residents the opportunity to meet with the Somerset County Council Flood Team and Highways Officers, representatives from South Somerset District Council and the Environment Agency who are working closely to investigate the flood event of July 23.

The investigation will establish the factors that have contributed to the flooding and the appropriate response.

To assist and inform the investigation, the town clerk would be grateful for any photographs and videos the town council or community may have taken of the flooding.

The session will also give residents the opportunity to discuss with the various representatives their concerns and what the outcomes of this work will be.

All residents that have been affected by the flooding are encouraged to attend to share their opinions and any information they may have.
