A PERSON had to be cut free from a car after driving into a ditch on the A303.
The driver was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with a suspected broken collarbone injury following the incident between South Petherton and Cartgate.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were all called to the crash, which happened Eastbound some time before 8.30am this morning (June 9).
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said they removed the roof of the car with hydraulic cutting equipment.
The casualty was left in the hands of the ambulance crews while fire crews made the vehicles safe.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said they were called to help with traffic flow.
