TWO people have been hospitalised after a crash near Ilminster.

Emergency services were called to Kingstone Hill shortly after 5.30pm on Friday (May 5).

Firefighters from Ilminster, Crewkerne and Beaminster were called to the two car crash after reports of a woman trapped inside one of the vehicles.

She was released by the firefighters using hydraulic equipment and treated by paramedics.

South Western Ambulance service were called to the scene at shortly before 6pm.

A spokesman said they dealt with two casualties, adding: "We attended with two rapid response vehicles, one ambulance and the air ambulance also attended.

"Both casualties were taken to Musgrove in Taunton for treatment. Both were taken in by road ambulance."
