A MOTORCYCLIST has been hospitalised after a crash in Seavington St Mary.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to the scene on the old A303 on Saturday (April 8) shortly after 1pm.
A spokesman for the police said: "We were called to reports of an RTC between a car and motorcycle near to Seavington St Mary (the former A303) junction of New Road and Church Lane.
"The road was blocked.
"Air ambulance took a motorcyclist to Southmead with neck and head injuries - not thought to be life threatening."
A resident reported that the road was still closed at 7pm as police cleared the vehicles from the area.
