THE Somerset Wildlife Trust will be holding a range of activities around Chard and Ilminster over the coming months.

The first is a talk from Colin Ryall at the parish hall in Ilminster on Friday, January 27 from 7.30pm to 9pm.

Colin will give an illustrated talk on a recent visit to Guyana “the land of many rivers and Kaiteur Falls” which has some of the largest areas of pristine tropical rainforest remaining in South America.

With many iconic animals and birds, a diversity of less well-known species and fantastic scenery, Guyana is now opening up as an exciting destination for wildlife tourism.
