CHARD’s Mayor Cllr Dave Bulmer has added his tribute to a former Chard and Ilminster News photographer who passed away recently.
Tributes poured in for Dave Wheadon who had a long and illustrious career as a photographer and cameraman across the south west, and were shared in last week’s paper, with Cllr Dave Bulmer now adding to the tributes.
Cllr Bulmer said: “Dave was an incredibly well known hard working man within Chard, not only with his shop in Holyrood Street but also his work as a photographer at both private and public events in the town.
“We as a town owe Dave a great deal of gratitude.
“I met Dave on a number of occasions, and would like to express my own personal thanks for what he has contributed to our community.”
