A FORMER factory manager has got behind the wheel in a career u-turn after launching his own franchise of a chauffeur company.

Trevor Larcombe, from Ilminster, recently launched his own branch of the White 7 private hire company, which offers services to private or corporate companies.

Mr Larcombe will ferry his passengers round in a top of the range BMW and said he was looking forward to his new venture.

He said: “I have always been a keen driver and saw this as being an ideal way to make a living doing something I love.

"By becoming managing director of my own company, I will gain responsibility for delivering a high quality service to my clients.”

The company has been gaining speed throughout the summer while training took place and the correct licences were acquired.
