A TEENAGER has appeared in court facing serious allegations of the “wholesale” supply of class A drugs at Ilminster.

Jezra Mackenzie, 19, of Fore Street, Camelford, Cornwall, appeared before Somerset Magistrates at Yeovil.

He was charged that on April 10 at Station Road in Ilminster he was in possession of 19.89g of cocaine with intent to supply to another.

He was also alleged to have been in possession of 373g of MDMA (class A) with intent to supply to another.

A third offence of being in possession of 14.61g of cannabis and cannabis resin (class B) was also alleged against him.

The defendant did not enter pleas to any of the charges and prosecutor Christine Hart said that the quantities and purity of the drugs involved were consistent with the wholesale supply of drugs.

The magistrates refused to accept jurisdiction for the case and ordered Mackenzie to stand trial at Taunton Crown Court.

They adjourned all three matters until September 26 when he must appear before a pre trial hearing at Taunton and in the meantime he was released unconditional bail.
