TWO people were cut out of a car following a four car crash near Ilminster.

Emergency services rushed the A358 near Peasmarsh shortly before 8pm last night after four cars collided.

Two people were trapped within two of the cars, and three crews from Chard, Taunton and Ilminster attended the incident.

Firefighters cut the two people out of the car using hyrdraulic cutting equipment, two safety jets and an environmental pack.

The two casualties were then passed into the care of the ambulance service.
