AROUND 600 homes in Ilminster have been left without electricity after a power cut.
Wester Power Distribution announced the power cut in a tweet this morning.

A spokesman for Western Power Distribution said: "We currently have about 600 customers off supply, engineers are now resolving the issue at the scene.
"The cause of the power cut was a fault on the overhead network."
The power cut is one of a number in Somerset, caused by the strong winds brought about by Storm Jake.
Following delays in restoring power, WPD tweeted:
Power cut update for #Ilminster #TA19 area. Engineers continue to work on the fault & estimate power to be restored by 16:30. Steve
