IT HAS been all go for Swanmead students recently, with a whole host of activities taking place.

The school has been celebrating its Readers of the Half Term, as well as a new outdoor table tennis table.

In addition to those, puils are also gearing up for the school's annual Science Week, and their year 8 production The Terrible Fate of Humpty Dumpty.

A number of pupils were celebrated for their half term reading efforts last week, whith a proud few acheiving a spot in the millionaires club.

This award was given to those pupils who managed to read more than one million words over the year so far.

The two new table tennis tables were bought with part of Swanmead's annual sports games budget, and children of all ages have been seen improving their ping pong skills at break times.

Swanmead's Science Week will take place in two weeks time, with a variety of experiments and investigations planned by the school's science club. The findings will then be presented to an audience of Wednesday of the focus week, March 16.

And finally, the countdown has begun for Swanmead's year 8 production The Terrible Fate of Humpty Dumpty.

They will tell the story of Terry Dumpton, who is the victim of a deadly gang of bullies, and will be put on at the Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster.

The show will take place on March 17 from 7.30pm
