IT MAY only be February, but one florist from Ilminster is hoping for a budding good time after making a generous donation for the town’s Christmas lights for next year.
Angie Blackwell, who owns Cottage Flowers on East Street in the town, held a series of Christmas floral design demonstrations in November last year.
The money raised from the Yuletide-themed demonstrations will now be reinvested into next year’s celebrations, and Angie donated £500 to the Ilminster Christmas Lights Committee.
Lights committee chairman Clinton Bonner said: “We would like to thank Angie and her team at Cottage Flowers for their continued support of the Christmas lights in the town. It is very much appreciated.”
Angie is now making plans for next year’s Christmas events, and will host morning demonstrations held again this year at Ilminster Warehouse Theatre - on November 16 and 17.
She said: “Cottage Flowers thanks everyone who again supported the events and helped raise this amazing amount for the Ilminster Christmas lights.”
