THE Post Office in Ilminster is set to set to be “newly modernised” in March as part of a programme being rolled out by the Government.
The store will see a refurbishment and newly extended hours that will be launched on Wednesday, March 16 at 1pm.
The revamped post office will feature a new layout, will be open an extra five hours a week, and new facilities allowing bill payment, banking, benefits, travel money, postage, home shopping returns, and local collect, as well as a number of financial services.
The service will be provided from four modern counters – two open plan, one fullscreened counter and a Post Office service point.
The main counters will be open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5.30pm, and Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm.
The service point will be available Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 6pm, and on Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm.
To allow for refurbishment, the branch will close from 12.30pm on March 5.
