ILMINSTER's festive season is set to continue next weekend with the town's annual charity Christmas Tree festival.
The event displays more than 50 decorated and lit Christmas trees.
This glittering show is open to the public in the Minster Church in the centre of Ilminster from Monday December 7 to Friday December 11 9.15am to 6pm, and Saturday December 12, 9am to 4pm.
Local organisations, individuals and families sponsor different trees which they erect and decorate themselves, with some of them are being very unique and striking entries.
The festival will raise money for the different charities that the sponsors have nominated, seeking support from the public.
There will also be a Christmas Fair at The Minster Church on Friday, December 11, from 6pm to 8pm, where all sorts of goodies will be on sale, as well as a demonstration of Christmas floral arrangements.
The host is the Minster Church, and planning and arranging the event is the work of a team of volunteers lead by local parishioners, Elizabeth Ferriss and Amanda Gould.
There will also be a short opening ceremony on Monday December 7 at 12pm when the Reverend Nigel Done, the mayor, Councillor Rose Neave, and town crier Andrew Fox will all be in attendance.
Also there will be students from Greenfylde School, Swanmead School, Sunny Ile Play School and helpers from Sweet Surprise.
