MOTORISTS using the A358 through Donyatt are being warned to prepare for 17 weeks of roadworks.
Wessex Water begin works to replace the water mains through the village on June 15 and temporary traffic lights will be in place until September 25. Residents will also be informed of any disruption to their water supply.
A Wessex Water spokesman said: “This is essential work to replace an ageing water main with modern plastic pipes to safeguard customers’ water supply will require temporary two-way traffic lights to manage traffic."
“The lights will be in place from June 15 to September 25 and we aim to complete the work by mid-October. Residents will be given 48 hours’ written notice before any interruption to their water supply." We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
