ILMINSTER’S Mayor hosted local dignitaries at a performance at the Warehouse Theatre to show it off as one of the town’s prized assets.
Cllr Emma Jane Taylor and Deputy Mayor Cllr Andrew Lawson have thanked all the cast, production team, front of house staff and theatre chairman Scott Waldie for their efforts on the night.
Mr Waldie looked after and entertained the dignitaries who attended the performance.
The Mayor said: “The evening gave us a chance to showcase one of the town’s assets.
“I have seen a number of the guests since the performance at other civic events across the county and they have all commented on what a good night they had and what a wonderful theatre we have in Ilminster.
“The theatre is a credit to all the volunteers who work so hard to maintain it and entertain residents of the town and surrounding area.”
