CRIME rates in Ilminster have fallen according to year on year figures but police say more can be done.
In his report to Ilminster town councillors, PC Andy Stuart said parts of the recreation ground are still being abused by some individuals.
He added: “It is with sadness and frustration that there are still some who seem to think it is fun to smash bottles in the grandstand and toilet areas, with little or no care to what the consequences are for innocent users.
“We as always seek any information with proof of offenders so we can deal with the people responsible.
“It is not possible to turn up and blame everyone there without some kind of information to go on. As always we appeal for people to call in and give us information they have.”
PC Stuart also said anyone with information about a break-in at the football club at the end of last month should call 101.
