Get snappy with Petherton photo group

SOUTH Petherton's thriving photographic society is looking to snap up new members.

The group is a friendly collection of people interested in developing their photographic skills.

A club spokesman said: “Most now use digital cameras but some still prefer to use film.

“Either way we are always happy to welcome people to our meetings and to try and answer any questions you may have regarding photography.”

Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of the month – other than July and August – and start at 7.30pm at the Methodist Church Hall in Palmer Street, South Petherton.

The cost, including refreshments, is £1.50 for members and £2.50 for|non-members.

The group will be hearing a presentation from David Meakin on Wednesday, February 6, about photographing stage productions. He will talk about techniques used to photograph performers on stage or on a catwalk.

A software tuition night will be held on Wednesday, February 20.
