FIREFIGHTERS had to deal with a microwave oven fire at a home in Lambrook Road, Shepton Beauchamp, on Friday lunchtime.

The alarm was raised at just after 1.30pm and fire engines from Ilminster, Crewkerne and Chard were sent.

Officers found the oven was in a garage which was attached to a two-storey home.
