A MAN that was stuck down an 8 ft well was rescued by the fire service.
A fire engine from Crewkerne was called to Liddon Hill, Hinton, at around 2.42pm yesterday (March 10) to reports a man was stuck down a well.
The man had become stuck after rescuing his dog.
Fire engines from Crewkerne, Yeovil, Bridgwater, Chard and Taunton were called to the incident.
Crews helped the man out of the well using a triple extension ladder and confined space equipment.
The man was checked over by paramedics after he climbed the ladder out of the well.
