A CHISELBOROUGH woman accused of offences of harassment, assault and criminal damage has had the case against her dropped.

Sarah Emma Sculthorp, 33, of North Street, previously appeared in the dock before Somerset Magistrates, sitting as a domestic violence court charged that between March 9 and 23 at Jubilee Close, Crewkerne, she pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a male in that she sent him over 500 messages via email, text and iPhone Messenger and attended his address in three separate occasions knowing he did not want any contact with her.

She was also alleged to have assaulted the complainant by beating on March 23, damaged internal walls and a fridge door belonging to him and damaged a mobile phone valued at £296.66 belonging to a female at Crewkerne on the same date.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to all the offences alleged against her and the case was adjourned for a trial to take place.

However, when the matters were put back before the magistrates they were told that the Crown Prosecution Service was no longer offering any evidence and all four allegations were to be discontinued.
