THREE fire engines were sent to a paper shredder fire in Crewkerne.

Crews were called out to a property on North Street on Saturday, December 17 at 5.15pm.

An engine from Crewkerne, one from Yeovil and another from Beaminster provided by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were sent to reports of a fire.

Upon arrival, crews confirmed that there was smoke within the property and began investigations.

Crews located a paper shredder involved in fire, which had been extinguished by the property occupiers using a dry powder extinguisher and a fire blanket.

Crews also used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel and thermal imaging camera to ensure that the fire was fully extinguished.
