CREWKERNE fire crews rushed to the scene yesterday after they recieved reports of a person trapped in a car by the River Perrott.
2 fire appliances from Crewkerne and Beaminster were mobilised following a call from Avon and Somerset Police at 9.47am on December 10 who requested their assistance after a vehicle was reported to have overturned by the river, trapping a person inside.
On arrival, crews discovered that the person was free and clear of the vehicle, which had landed on its side near the river.
Fire crews then set to work making the vehicle and scene safe.
Ambulance paramedics dealt with one casualty and duty of care was left with the police.
