CREWKERNE was glittering with festive cheer on Saturday when it played host to a Christmas market.

Following last year's event being branded a great success, the market was organised by the town council.

The Christmas market was held in Market Square from 10am until 3pm, giving people the chance to pick up some Christmas shopping or just enjoy the festive feeling.

A spokesman for Crewkerne Town Council said the event was great opportunity to buy some Christmas goodies and presents with a large number of stalls selling a wide range of products.

As well as the stalls, there was festive food available throughout the day including hog roast, bacon butties and mulled apple juice, with seasonal music to add to the festive atmosphere.
