Arson suspected as van burns near Merriott
Firefighters from Crewkerne were caleld out to a report of a van on fire at Hitchen, Merriott in the early hours of this morning
The crew confirmed that the van was already out but it was believed to have been ignited deliberately so police were requested to attend.
The crew made the scene safe but carried out no firefighting action due to the van being out on arrival.
The incident was left in the hands of the police.
