AGE has proven no barrier for ladies in Mosterton, who have posed for a risqué, but tastefully-done Women’s Institute style calendar to raise money for their local community.

The ladies decided to pose for the calendar after men from the village got their kit off for funds when Emma House organised a calendar named “Doing it for Mosterton 2014” to raise funds for village facilities such as the church, school and pre-school.

Emma said: “Eleven men got their kit off and posed in WI Calendar Girl-style pictures and raised just over £700 profit.

“This year the ladies have decided to give the guys a run for their money by doing their own version!”

Each woman has her own theme in the calendar and the ladies are hoping to go one better and raise more than the men.

The front cover of the calendar features the December photograph, with all the brave ladies pictured The calendar, entitled The Girls 2016, is being launched at the Admiral Hood pub in Mosterton on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 9pm. The ladies will be showing their pictures on the big screen for the first time before the calendar goes on sale at £5 each.

Emma said: “The youngest lady is 32 and the eldest is 85 and I am proud of each one.”

The calendar has been sponsored by local firms such as Sicor, Wyke Farms, Darch Oils and Cronite.
