EMERGENCY fire crews were called to a pub near Crewkerne on Sunday evening.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call at around 5.38pm reporting a fire at The White Horse on North Street, Haselbury Plucknett.
A spokesman for the service said: “Upon arrival, crews found a wood burner on the ground floor alight, crews worked from the hearth with chimney to extinguish the fire.
“Crews discovered a cracked chimney pot and requested the attendance of the aerial platform from Yeovil fire station to examine it and the chimney pot was removed using the hydraulic platform.”
