Crewkerne cobbler nets top repairing prize
COBBLER Al King, from The Menders, in South Street, has won a shoe repairing contest.
He won the JR Shoe Repairer of the Year Competition by producing a leather half sole and heel repair on one of a pair of shoes.
Al, 28, was said to have exploited ambitious staining and inking, as well as the bespoke heel cut and arched graft of the sole.
