PEOPLE in the antique and specialist toy trades are being asked to be on the lookout for items stolen a house in Martock.

An octagonal solid silver mug, pictured, along with a large collection of highly-collectable model cars were stolen during the night of October 19 and 20 in East Street.

Police believe the same burglars were responsible for stealing a number of expensive road bikes from other properties in the street.

They are advising people in the town to take extra security measures to protect their property, and to contact the police on 101 if they see anything suspicious or have any concerns.

The antiques and models stolen include distinctive cast iron Tintin cars, as well as Dinky, Matchbox, Corgi and Sundry models and a collection of pressed metal cars, trains, aeroplanes and robots.

Anyone who has any information, or who is perhaps offered the items for sale, is asked to contact Yeovil CID on 101 quoting crime reference number 104813/13.
