Plant Sale: A plant sale will be held this Saturday (May 12) from 10am-12pm in the Community Hall. On offer will be bedding plants, shrubs, hanging basket plants, perennial, border and herbaceous plants. Proceeds to go to the Chardstock Horticultural Society.

Lunch in the Garden: Fred and Denise Clarkson will once again open their gates for lunch in the garden at Dicot, Burridge, on Wednesday, May 30, at 12.30pm for 1pm. Cost of tickets is £10 per person in aid of St Andrew's Church. To book, please ring Denise on 01460-220364.

Horticultural Society: The next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 16, when members will be visiting Bickham House, Kenn, near Exeter, as part of the National Gardens Scheme. Gardens will open at 2pm, with entry at £3. Cream teas will be available.

Historical Record Group: As part of the National Mills weekend, there will be two conducted tours of Chardstock Mill at 10am and 11.30am this Saturday, May 12. Though not working, the Mill has many historical features and is not normally open to the public.

Walking Treasure Hunt: This will be held on Sunday, May 20, meeting at the Community Hall for 2pm. Please take along a pen or pencil and clipboard. Cost, including refreshments afterwards, is £2 adults, £5 for a family, with proceeds to St Andrew's Church. More details from John Cloke on 0140-220519.
