YOUNG people in Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne are being urged to help police crack down on retailers selling alcohol to underage drinkers.
Police are looking for volunteers aged between 15 and 17 to take part in test purchasing operations in the area, to crack down on premises that break the law.
Sgt Mark Cousins said: "Young people are particularly vulnerable after a few drinks and so we want to encourage 'responsible retailing' throughout the district.

"Anyone serving alcohol to a young person under the age of 18 could face a maximum fine of £1000 or six months imprisonment."
The volunteers will need parental consent.
There will be no payment, but they will be provided with a meal and be able to keep any non-age restricted items purchased during the operations.
It is also a great opportunity to carry out voluntary work which may be useful on their CVs in the future.
The operations are normally carried out over weekends and during bank holidays and volunteers will be picked up and dropped back home at the end of the day.
Volunteers will not be used on operations in their local area.
