HUNDREDS of young people across Somerset are making the most of the warm weather with the first day of the Ten Tors.
A spokesman from the event said: "It looks as if our Teams are enjoying their first day on the Moor - they're making great progress on their routes under a bright sky, clouded with some high thin cirrus and accompanied by a fresh breeze.
"While the weather looks gorgeous to those of us watching, it's a bit warmer than the Teams have mostly trained through - but those we had a few words with are coping well, taking the fluids and on track for some impressive times!"
