THE St John Ambulance organisation will be running another carer support programme for people in Chard from May 29.
A successful course was run in March at the Forefront Community Centre in Fore Street, Chard, and now St John Ambulance personnel are looking forward to holding another project later this month.
Hundreds of carers across Somerset have benefited from the carer support programme. The free programme, which is supported by Somerset County Council, will be run across four mornings over four weeks.

Those attending will join other carers who look after elderly and infirm relatives, neighbours and friends.
They learn skills to help them better cope with the wonderful job they are already doing. They make new friends, share experiences and exchange ideas. Most of all they have vital respite from their daily tasks and re-charge their batteries!
St John's care development manager, Jude Glide, said she was delighted to be coming back to Chard.
"Many carers in the last group found the course life changing," she said. "Not only do they learn to cope better but also how to better look after themselves.
"They meet new friends who have similar problems to their own and many now see each other regularly. For those who find it hard to get away, we can pay for a sitter for them."
