THE Meeting House Arts Centre, Ilminster, is hosting an exhibition of work by an up-and-coming Chard artist.
Paul Newman is originally from Lichfield, Staffordshire, and has lived in Chard since 2000.
He studied at the Falmouth College of Arts and is influenced by the history and geography of the Wessex landscape, concentrating particularly on light, place and texture.
Titled Place', the show is Paul's first collection of work and will feature 12 drawings of places mainly in the Wessex region.
The exhibition opens today (Monday) and will run until Saturday, June 7.
