AT the Ilminster Women's Institute meeting held on May 7, a choice of resolutions to go forward to National Conference were discussed and voted on. Formal Institute business was dealt with, social events were diarised and two birthday posies presented.
Tony Miller outlined the work of the Citizens Advice Bureau and Julia Cook and John Lacey spoke on the aims and success of the Restorative Justice Panel. Both organisations emphasised the continuing need for volunteers.
Refreshments prepared by members of the committee were served by Pat Gummer, Ruby Hanna and Anne Hibberd. The competition for best homemade sweets was won by Mary Davys and flower of the month by Hilary Miller.

As the members' meeting on June 4 takes the form of an afternoon outing and tea at Midelney Manor, Langport, members should note there will be no evening meeting.
