THE Icknield Ensemble Quintet is returning to Chard Museum on Sunday to play light classical music from 2.30pm.
Museum treasurer Tony Prior, who is organising the concert, said: “This return visit follows the quintet’s successful concert at the museum last February.
“On that occasion the museum reverberated with their melodious sounds. It was a cosy atmosphere with the audience around the musicians.
“I am delighted they have agreed to perform for us again this year.”
Proceeds from the concert will help the museum meet its income target of a minimum of £20,000 in 2012.
The district council’s grant will reduce again this year leaving the trustees and volunteers to find additional cash to keep the museum open.
Tickets for the concert are on sale from Barrons in Holyrood Street, Chard, priced £7.50, including tea/coffee and cake after the performance.
